My boyfriend and I are returning guests at the Timber Creek Chalets in the Rocky Mountain Resorts, as they offer some of the best rentals for a couple’s getaway or a small group trip. The spacious cabins are ideally located on a secluded property right at the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park and minutes from downtown Estes Park.
We always book the three-bedroom cabins as they’re spacious and include a living room, full bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a private hot tub on the outdoor deck. The best part was hiking in the National Park during the day and returning to the rental for a night of cooking on the outdoor grill, al fresco dining on the deck, and enjoying a relaxing soak in the hot tub.
In addition, the hosts were great and ensured we had a comfortable stay here.
So book the Timber Creek Chalets for a romantic getaway in the mountains, as they’re one of the best rentals for couples in Estes Park. Here’s why you’ll agree:
- The modern amenities: Each rental includes fully furnished bedrooms and bathrooms stocked with the essentials, full kitchens, washing units, a deck with outdoor seating and BBQ grills, cable TV with a DVD player, a pool table, and Wi-Fi.

- The location: Guests will enjoy privacy from their secluded cabins while being minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park, which has great nature and hiking trails, streams, mountain peaks, and abundant wildlife, plus shopping and outdoor dining in Estes Park.
We had a terrific time in these rentals and could hardly find fault with our stay. However, guests should consider that there isn’t individual air conditioning in the bedrooms, so it gets hot at night time.
Pros:
- The rentals are clean, well-maintained, and beautifully furnished.
- The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.
- The cabins have plenty of entertainment facilities for guests to enjoy.
- The deck and balconies give amazing views of the surrounding nature.
- The location is ideal for couples, families, and small groups.
Cons:
- There is no individual air conditioning in the bedrooms.
- The pull-out sofa isn’t in good shape for extra guests sleeping over.
Overall, we loved our time at the Timber Creek Chalets, and they’re one of the best Estes Park romantic cabins.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the cozy Suzy Snowflake cabin on MacGregor Avenue on a local’s recommendation and had a terrific time. The homely rental is perfect for a romantic getaway, as it’s a historic cabin from the 1900s that’s been remodeled to include modern elements and has many rustic touches.
We spent a lovely few days at this one-bedroom cabin, which includes a cozy living room, a full kitchen, and spacious outdoor areas with stunning views of the property. We especially enjoyed cuddling up in front of the cabin’s fireplace, spotting elk from the patio, and exploring the wilderness around the cabin.
In addition, the hosts, Blake and Susan, are amazing and make sure guests have the best time here.
So book this historic rental in Estes Park, as it’s one of the most romantic cabins. Here’s why:
