We loved the spacious treehouse for its cozy living spaces, fully-equipped kitchen, which made cooking meals here a breeze, and the panoramic windows in every room offering scenic views. However, our favorite part was how close it was to the beach! You can take a short walk from the house to the waterfront and get welcomed by sandy shores and calm waves.

In addition, our hosts were great and communicated with us well throughout the trip.

The comfortable living environment, beautiful mountain views, and nearby beach make the Manzanita Beach House Retreat the best treehouse in Oregon. Here’s why you’ll agree:

• The attention to detail: The owners have given extra care in making the house comfortable for guests by providing a fully-equipped kitchen with a coffee bar, all necessary appliances, and cookware.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at this tree house and could hardly find fault with our stay. However, the street leading to the beach and town isn’t very safe for a walk, especially with kids, as there are cars driving by fast and no sidewalk.

• The street outside the house is busy and unsafe for walking (however, taking a car will get you to most places in 5-10 mins.)

Columbia Tree House – Best Tree House Rental Oregon

Head to the business district of Hood River for this next tree house, a favorite of ours for its stunning views and secluded surroundings. You’ll be exposed to views of Mt. Adams from the house’s Northside and see the Columbia River from any spot in the living room. The tree house is also close to the downtown stores and restaurants, so you’ll only be a short drive from most places. 

My boyfriend and I loved staying at the Columbia Tree House for its open-plan living spaces, which are great for socializing with a group. We especially enjoyed the great architecture of this house, which has vaulted ceilings, and huge windows in every room to take in the views from outside. 

In addition, our host, Brian, was incredible; easy to talk with, responsive, and made sure we had a fun time. 

The terrific location and comfortable home make this one of the best Oregon treehouse vacation rentals. Here’s why you’ll agree:

• The amenities: The house has a fully equipped kitchen, a gorgeous master bedroom with a queen size bed and vaulted ceilings, a living room with a flat-screen TV, good internet connectivity, and more. 
• The outdoor spaces: For guests to take full advantage of the surrounding greenery and views, there are comfortable outdoor spaces, including a shaded deck facing the mountain, a fenced yard, and a gated deck. 
• The town: You’ll be a short distance from downtown Hood River, which has two of the best breweries in the Northwest, plus grocery stores, pharmacies, and eateries. 

However, the only negative to our stay would be that some of the furniture was well-worn, such as the living room couch, so it wasn’t very comfortable. However, this isn’t necessarily a deal breaker, and some people may prefer lived-in furniture.

• People coming in winter can drive to Mt Hood for a ski trip.
• The property is animal-friendly, so you can bring furry friends along. 
• Brian is a terrific host and makes sure your stay is comfortable. 
• The tree house is secluded from the busy town, so you’ll enjoy a peaceful time.
• A large gas fireplace in the living room is great for staying warm in the winter. 

Cons:

• Some of the furniture is well-worn and could use a replacement.

Beautiful, Magical, Treehouse – Best Treehouse Glamping Oregon

Experience an incredible glamping adventure at this terrific tree house on the base of Mt. Hood, which is our favorite place to try real treehouse living. It has a terrific location, nestled high among fir trees on the owners’ 20-acre property, with a pond and skiing opportunities on the mountain nearby. 

We loved this tree house for its rustic make, with a spiral staircase leading to the sleeping loft, a queen bed, an outdoor sink and shower, and a seating area below the treehouse to sit by a fire pit and roast s’mores. My boyfriend was immediately smitten by the small island in the pond, which you can reach by kayak and enjoy fishing from. 

In addition, our hosts, Hollis and Dave, were terrific, and their hospitality improved our trip.

My boyfriend and I consider this one of the best Oregon treehouse rentals for its stunning scenery and rustic aesthetic. Here’s why you’ll agree:

• The outdoor activities: There are plenty of adventures to try in vast Oregon outdoors, like kayaking and feeding fish in the pond, ziplining, skiing in Mt Hood, and hiking on trails lining the area. 
• The range of accommodations: Guests with a larger party can also rent the Glamping Tent, the Pond Cottage, or the Tensile on the same property.
• The amenities: Despite the remote environment, there are great amenities like a fully-furnished loft, composting toilet, gas heater, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and more.

Our stay at this tree house was terrific, and we were at a loss to find fault with it. However, bear in mind that the remote location means there is low to no cell connectivity and poor Wi-Fi signals in the area. 

Pros: 

• The tree house is small, clean, and well-equipped with the necessary amenities. 
• Guests can try outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, disc golf, playing carpet ball, and basketball.
• The owner’s two adorable dogs are on the property, which you can play with. 
• The hosts are easy to communicate with and very responsive to guest queries. 
• The house was featured on BuzzFeed and TRIP101 as one of the best treehouses in Oregon.

Cons:

• There is poor cell and internet connectivity in the area.
• The house’s spiral staircase is unsuitable for younger children to climb.

Overall, we had a terrific time staying at this secluded treehouse in Mt. Hood, and we highly recommend it to solo travelers, couples, and small groups looking for an authentic treehouse living adventure.

Heartland Treehouse Oregon – Best Oregon Treehouse for a Rustic Getaway

My boyfriend and I are returning guests to the Heartland Treehouse, an incredible place to experience rustic treehouse living. Perched on the Langlois Mountains, you’ll be surrounded by nature at this tree house, which is perched between two massive fir trees, overlooking a steep river canyon and a rushing waterfall. 

We were in awe of the unique layout of this treehouse, which has lovely indoor and outdoor spaces. You’ll climb two flights of stairs to reach the treehouse, with a comfy bedroom, kitchen, and dining area inside and built-in benches outside with views of the surrounding water bodies. 

Our hosts, Kean and Sam, were also amazing and ensured our trip was nothing short of excellent with their hospitality and good communication. 

So the remote location and closeness to nature make the Heartland Treehouse one of the best Oregon treehouse rentals. Here’s why you’ll agree:

• The outdoor amenities: Aside from an outdoor shower and a composting toilet, the treehouse has an outdoor hot tub and a sauna, which are great for a warm soak.
• The location: The remote location ensures complete privacy, and guests can enjoy walking to the rushing creek, waterfall, and nearby beaches.
• The hosts: Kean and Sam, are terrific; they live nearby, drop supplies if you’re missing any, and ensure a comfortable stay. 

However, one negative about the treehouse is that the far-off location means there aren’t cell signals. But we liked taking a break from our phones, so this wasn’t a problem for us. 

Pros: 

• The treehouse has a simple, clean, and cozy interior.
•  There are necessary kitchen appliances, cookware, and good heating. 
• You’ll enjoy taking in stunning forest and river views from all sides in the treehouse. 
• Heartland Treehouse is built from wood milled by the owners from the surrounding forest. 
• There’s a wraparound deck and patio with comfy outdoor furniture for lounging on.

Cons: 

• There aren’t any cell phone signals in the area. 
• The nearest grocery stores and restaurants are a long drive away (so get ready to make a long trip back if you forget any essentials!)

Rustic Lodge Tree House Cabin – Pet-Friendly Oregon Treehouse 

My boyfriend and I always have a hard time finding someone to pet-sit our dogs when we travel, but staying at the Rustic Lodge Tree House was terrific for our furry friends and us. The treehouse is located in Brookings, on the owner’s vast private grounds, which makes the surroundings secluded and peaceful. 

The treehouse cabin is very cozy, with a wooden walkway leading to its open-plan loft and a wraparound deck which is ideal for taking in the forest views. In addition, the treehouse has open grounds, a few short trails, and a beach nearby, which is ideal for walking the dogs and taking early morning hikes.

The host, Sharon, was terrific and ensured our trip was comfortable. She’s even set up a dog wash which was great for keeping the dogs clean after a walk outside. 

The quaint location and pet-friendly attitude make the Rustic Tree House Cabin one of the best Oregon treehouse rentals. Here’s why you’ll agree:

• The beautiful grounds: You can enjoy views of the garden from the back deck and explore the grounds with hidden spots and picnic tables for a quiet afternoon in the woods.
• The wildlife: Elk are roaming the property, which you can hear talking in the early mornings, plus lots of deer and bunnies on the driveway.
• The amenities: The house is equipped with all necessary facilities like a newly fitted kitchen, BBQ grill, king-size beds, flat-screen TV, and Wi-Fi connectivity. 

However, one drawback of staying here is that there are two other cabins on the property (one right next to yours), so you won’t be completely alone. The guests we stayed with were great, so this was no issue for us. 

Pros: 

• The house is well-furnished, clean, and very comfortable. 
• There are many places on the grounds to practice yoga, read a book, and have a picnic.
• You can BBQ on a private deck overlooking the Oregon Rainforest.
• There’s a pet wash in the treehouse, and up to two pets for $50 allowed. 
• Wild animals often cross the property, which guests can view outside their windows. 

Cons:

• The property has two other cabins with guests often staying, so you won’t be completely alone. 
• The treehouse is not kid-friendly. 

To sum up, my boyfriend and I had an amazing time at the Rustic Lodge Treehouse Cabin, and we consider it one of the best treehouse cabins in Oregon.

The Treehouse Retreat – Best Tree House Camping Oregon

My boyfriend and I love roughing it out in the great outdoors, and we got to experience just that at the Treehouse Retreat in Philomath. The treehouse is conveniently located close to Oregon State University, and guests can explore the McDonald Forest, Bald Hill, and Mary’s Peak nearby on hikes and nature walks.

The treehouse promises an incredible camping experience from its 100-square foot loft, outdoor shower, composting toilet, electric lights, and space heaters to stay warm in winter. We loved the outdoor spaces, which were great for taking in the views and having breakfast with the ducks quacking below. 

Our host, Jason, was terrific and had kept the treehouse in great shape, so we never fell short of any amenity. 

The peaceful house is set in a private forest amidst a suburban town but ensures complete privacy and quiet, which makes it one of the best Oregon treehouse rentals. Here’s why you’ll agree:

• Comfort and convenience: The owners have ensured the house is comfortable for guests, with a soft memory foam mattress, bunks with sleeping pads, extra blankets, and a covered fire pit for campfires.
• The outdoor activities: You’ll be within walking distance from a fishing pond, waterfalls, an open field for disc golf, hiking trails, rope swings, chicken coops, and even a zipline, which is great for people seeking outdoor adventures. 
• The animals: During your stay, you’re likely to encounter chickens from the owner’s coop, ducks roaming near the pond, Koi fish in the pond, and even the resident cats and dogs, so animal lovers will enjoy the retreat. 

One small downside to our stay here was how cold the treehouse got during the early hours and late at night, and we needed extra blankets to stay warm. However, if you bring heating pads and gloves, this won’t be a problem.

• The house isn’t safe for younger children due to the ladder leading to it.

If you’re like us and can’t decide what scenery to experience on vacation, head to the Bluebird House on the Oregon coast, set on seven acres of farm, forest, and beach. The treehouse is in an ideal location on Gold Beach, with a short hike to the coast, where guests can watch waves crash below against the famous Samuel Boardman Corridor. 

My boyfriend and I loved staying at this treehouse, which has a small, snug interior, open living spaces, and many kid-friendly activities. The best part is the stables and fields with donkey families, which we loved playing with. 

Our host, Cynthia, was also amazing and ensured we had every comfort for our trip. 

So we had an incredible time at the Bluebird treehouse, and its natural surroundings make it one of the best Oregon treehouse rentals. Here’s why:
