Enchanted Treehouse On Lake Michigan – Best Lake Michigan treehouse
Source: Vrbo.com Enchanted Treehouse
My boyfriend and I were lucky to spend the weekend at the Enchanted Treehouse on lake Michigan with our friends. This Michigan treehouse is on a sand dune and has the most magnificent lake views with over 100 feet of private lakefront property (your private beach).
This enchanted treehouse has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a deck, and a patio. Two of the bedrooms have comfy queen-size beds. The owners provide bicycles, kayaks, canoes, and other sports gear so you can fully enjoy the water. We also made use of the gas grill.
The tree house interior is all made of modern wood, with huge windows all around, making it light and contemporary. The furniture is tasteful and clean, and there are all the amenities one could need.
The area doesn’t attract crowds, so that you can enjoy the peace on the lake. This lake Michigan location is perfect when you want to do other activities too. We were only 15 minutes from Grand Haven, where we enjoyed great restaurants, and 20 minutes from Holland. We will revisit this Vrbo Enchanted Treehouse!
This lake Michigan treehouse is a treasure, and we loved every minute of our stay. Here are some of the reasons:
- Private beach: The treehouse rental comes with about 100 feet of personal lakefront property on a sand dune. It’s a perfect place to enjoy watersports (the hosts provide all the equipment.) It’s also an ideal gathering spot in the evenings.
- The amenities: There is a full kitchen with all the appliances and dishes needed to make your meals comfortably. There is also a great indoor fireplace and an outdoor shower, which we loved.
- The location: It’s easy to spend all your time at the treehouse rental or take a short drive to great sites, restaurants, and bars at Grand Haven and Holland.
We had a great time. This property is one of my absolute favorite Michigan treehouses. However, to get to the beach, there are a lot of long, steep stairs and a nice walk. This number of stairs can be a problem for some. If you need to remember something in the house, you’ll have a long way back to get it.
Pros:
- Fire up the gas grill from the deck and enjoy a stunning view of lake Michigan.
- Enjoy all the watersports you can imagine, including canoeing and kayaking, all provided by the owners.
- Read a book next to the fireplace before going to bed.
- Spend the afternoon sunbathing on your private beachfront.
- Hop to Grand Haven for a romantic dinner out.
Cons:
- It’s not secluded. Other people are living next door and using the lake.
- There are a lot of steps to get down to the beach, which can be difficult for some.
The Tree House in the Heart of Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore (The treehouse resort experience)
Source: Vrbo.com Sleeping Bear National Treehouse
My boyfriend and I spent a romantic weekend in this unique treehouse cabin in Sleeping Bear National Park near Glen Arbor. This cozy treehouse is a one-bedroom, one private bath with a kitchen and spacious deck, and it gives off a treehouse resort experience. I loved the warm and home-like interior decoration mixed with modern wood details.
This Michigan treehouse rental has won national awards for being such a great rental. The views are stunning and incredibly peaceful—one of a kind. There is an art studio and a large relaxing garden on the property.
We enjoyed a lot of time sitting on the deck. The national park is full of animals, and we regularly see deer walking around, raccoons, foxes, and even coyotes. There was always beautiful bird sounds I loved with my morning coffee. But the highlight was the private pool (it’s an endless, heated indoor pool.) This rental is a genuinely luxurious treehouse.
Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore is a must-visit for all. Here are three reasons we loved it:
- The location: Sleeping Bear National Park and Glen Arbor are two naturally beautiful sights everyone should visit. It is a great place to admire the natural beauty of the area and remind ourselves of the power of nature.
- Closeness to nature: Even with your
- morning coffee, you can enjoy deer passing, raccoons, squirrels, foxes, and coyotes.
- Accommodations: The property has a spacious living room, full kitchen, outside garden area, and deck, and it has all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. There’s also an indoor pool!
We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of this beautiful Michigan treehouse. The thing is, it’s not a treehouse, as one would imagine. It’s more of a cottage with a balcony above a garage. Though still beautiful, it’s not a traditional treehouse rental.
Pros:
- It’s a rear opportunity to see so much Michigan wildlife in one place.
- Relax in the privacy of your own endless, heated indoor pool.
- Stargaze from the garden on a war night.
- Prepare a romantic meal in the fully equipped kitchen and enjoy the evening on the balcony.
- Set out for some water activities and swimming at Glen Lake.
Cons:
- This spot is not a traditional treehouse. It’s more of an apartment, but it’s nicely surrounded by trees and stunning views, which made up for it.
- No pets are allowed, and you need to ask permission for children.
Design – Wayfarer Treehouse (Lake Leelanau)
Source: Airbnb.com Wayfarer Treehouse
My boyfriend and I spent a weekend at an enchanted treehouse on lake Leelanau called the Wayfarer Treehouse. This secluded three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom treehouse in the woods was magical and spacious. But we wanted to keep it private and enjoyed it. It was our first time at this lake, and we loved every minute of this Michigan treehouse.
This treehouse rental is completely remodeled and modern, and it has all the needed amenities yet is still cozy and home-like. We loved using the gas grill and fire pit. The location is ideal, right between Leland, Suttons Bay, and Lake Leelanau; so many nearby restaurants, farmer’s markets, wineries, and even distilleries to explore and tour. It’s one of the more unique treehouse rentals in Michigan.
The newly remodeled and spacious Wayfarer Treehouse was terrific and one of the best treehouse rentals Michigan has to offer. Here are three reasons you will agree:
- The view: This beautiful tree house is surrounded by beautiful trees, making you feel like you are in a deep and secluded forest. Large windows and outside seating areas help you constantly feel surrounded by nature.
- The amenities: This newly remodeled tree house has a gas, fire pit outside seating area, shared beach access, and a full kitchen.
- The Location: It’s easy to access hiking trails, biking, the lake, the beach, and several small cities with outstanding restaurants, all within minutes. Yet, you will feel at peace and secluded at the cabin retreat.
Being one of our favorite treehouse rentals in Michigan, we enjoyed every minute of our time here. The hosts were easy to communicate with, and we loved it. However, the property doesn’t have air conditioning. Lack of air conditioning was especially a problem at night for sleeping, because it was scorching when we visited.
Pros:
- Start a bonfire in private surroundings and enjoy the sounds and sights of the forest.
- Take a swim or enjoy other water sports at the nearby beach access.
- The tree house accommodates up to six people, so invite some friends or enjoy all the space to yourselves.
- Watch a sunset from the lake dock.
- Easily visit and explore Suttons Bay and Northport for restaurants, bars, and fantastic sights.
Cons:
- The property doesn’t have air conditioning which can be difficult during a heat wave, despite all the tree shade.
- It does take some walking to the lake and a short drive to the beach.
Outpost Treehouse (East Leroy) – The most secluded and private Michigan treehouse
Source: Airbnb.com Outpost Treehouse
We discovered this Outpost treehouse in East Leroy from some locals (a perfect treefort cabin retreat), which was an excellent fit for us. The 14×14 room was spacious and comfortable and had the most comfortable queen-sized bed. It’s in the middle of a vast white pine forest and the middle of a 65-acre active farm. It is inspired by a forest ranger lookout.
We loved the peace and seclusion of this rental. It’s a secluded treehouse with towering woods, walking trails, and yard space for fire pit campfires and other outdoor activities. We explored a couple of nearby hiking trails and loved them.
I loved that breakfast was provided; eating outside with my morning coffee was magical. This place is one of the rear treehouse rentals offering breakfast. Enjoying it while the birds are chirping is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. It is an authentic Michigan treehouse.
This spot is another one of my favorite treehouse rentals that can be described as a true serene cabin retreat. Here’s why we loved this treehouse:
- The location: This perfect cozy getaway is centered in the middle of a pine forest and surrounded b 65 acres of farmland. It’s incredibly peaceful and secluded that you will forget everything.
- The amenities: I loved that they provide breakfast (and it’s delicious!) I felt pampered and had more time to enjoy the impeccable surroundings.
- Comfort and cleanliness: I was so comfortable and relaxed from the perfect living area to the yard and walking trails. It’s an ideal place to forget technology and reflect.
The East Leroy sleeps was a top experience for us. The cozy cabin was perfectly comfortable, clean, and peaceful. However, being so far out, you must plan well for everything you need. There is also no kitchen or washer.
Pros:
- Run away for the cities and enjoy a few days in a vast forest and farm area, walking around and enjoying the views.
- Listen to the birds singing with your morning breakfast and coffee provided by the hosts.
- Light a bonfire and enjoy some great conversation and drinks around the fire.
- Stargaze from the pitch-black open fields nearby.
- Ride your bike throughout the vast property or even venture out further.
Cons:
- There is no kitchen, so you must plan well about food and drinks,
- There is no washer, so bring enough clothing for your stay and be prepared for hand washing.
Be at home in the trees. (Northern Michigan’s natural beauty)
Source: vrbo.com Be at home in the trees
We spent an incredibly romantic weekend in this Northern Michigan tree house cottage. It’s a one-bedroom, one-bath with a deck, patio, and kitchen and dining area. Tall trees surround this North Tree House Retreat, with beautiful mountain views. This Michigan treehouse is well-kept with many amenities, including a fireplace, Fire pit, laundry, free parking, and more. It’s a small interior but not a tiny house by any means.
The location was so incredible that we were only minutes away from great activities (and we took full advantage!) We went swimming, fishing, bird watching, boating, and kayaking. Since there were a lot of attractions nearby, we visited Bear Lake, Crystal Mountain, and Arcadia Dunes and even did a wine tour. This property has the best location of all the treehouse rentals if you want to be close to other activities and visit national parks, significant hiking areas, mountain biking, and more.
So this tree house cottage is a great place to rent if you want a nice peaceful hub to explore the surroundings. Here are three reasons why we couldn’t keep this Michigan treehouse off our list:
- The location: This tree house is near many great destinations like Bear Lake, Crystal Mountain, Arcadia Dunes, and many shopping, dining, and touring options.
- The wildlife and outdoor activities: You can spot deer, foxes, and more in this area. Near the tree house, there are also great swimming, fishing, bird watching, boating, and kayaking opportunities.
- Amenities: The tree house has everything you need for a short stay, including a nice kitchen, dining area, fireplace, fire pit, laundry, free parking, and more.
My boyfriend and I loved this tree house; it was cozy and comfortable. The only fault I found were minor details that could be upgraded, like some of the appliances and kitchenware. But it was okay for us.
Pros:
- Light a bonfire and enjoy making smores with supplies provided by the owners.
- Curl up with an excellent book and enjoy the evening beside the fireplace.
- Observe all the great animals passing by, including deer, as you enjoy your morning coffee outside.
- Go bird watching and explore the surrounding woods picking native plants and flowers.
- Take a quick trip to one of the excellent nearby destinations.
Cons:
- You might miss some kitchenware if you love to cook, but most can make due.
- Some of the appliances are older but functional.
